Health and Safety Officer

e are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive health and safety officer to ensure workplace safety and compliance with local and international safety standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on workplace safety.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety awareness.
• Ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Liaise with external agencies and authorities regarding safety regulations and audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
• Professional certification in health and safety is preferred.
• Proven experience as a health and safety officer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication, training, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments.
