Emergency Room Nurse

The Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for delivering prompt and high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency situations. Working in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospital environment, this role involves triaging patients, administering emergency treatments, and collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Emergency Room Nurse must follow UAE healthcare protocols and safety standards, ensuring efficient patient stabilization and care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing, triaging, and prioritizing patient conditions upon arrival based on severity and urgency.

• Administering emergency medical interventions including medications, IV therapy, wound care, and CPR when required.

• Collaborating with doctors and other nurses to create and implement treatment plans for acute and critical cases.

• Monitoring vital signs and patient responses, adjusting care plans as necessary.

• Maintaining clear, accurate, and timely documentation of patient information and treatments.

• Preparing patients for diagnostics, procedures, or transfer to other departments when necessary.

• Ensuring all infection control, hygiene, and patient safety protocols are strictly followed.

• Providing support and information to patients and families during medical emergencies, often in high-stress situations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

• Valid UAE nursing license (HAAD).

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care unit.

• Solid knowledge of emergency protocols, trauma care, and life-saving procedures.

• Ability to work under pressure and make quick, sound decisions in life-threatening situations.

• Excellent communication skills, with a compassionate and calm approach to patient care.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
