Distribution Manager

The Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the distribution and transportation of products or goods in a timely and cost-effective manner. They manage a team of drivers, coordinate delivery schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and delivery protocols. Responsibilities

• Oversee the distribution process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers or retail locations.
• Manage and supervise a team of drivers, including hiring, training, routing, and performance evaluation.
• Plan and coordinate delivery schedules based on customer orders, delivery routes, and product availability.
• Optimize transportation costs by analyzing delivery routes, coordinating multiple deliveries, and maximizing vehicle capacity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a safety-first culture.
• Monitor delivery operations, including tracking shipments, coordinating with drivers, and resolving any issues or delays.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate order processing and address customer inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation, including proof of delivery, invoices, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Analyze distribution data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to distribution and transportation.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Distribution Manager or similar role, with a strong track record of successful distribution operations.
• Excellent knowledge of distribution and transportation processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
