Job Description

The Credit Controller is responsible for managing and ensuring the timely payment of outstanding customer invoices. They monitor credit limits, analyze credit risks, and establish credit terms and conditions. The Credit Controller also communicates with customers regarding overdue invoices, resolves payment issues, and maintains accurate credit records.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control credit limits for customers.
  • Assess and analyze credit risks associated with new and existing customers.
  • Establish credit terms and conditions in accordance with company policies.
  • Review delinquent accounts and communicate with customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans with customers.
  • Maintain accurate credit records and update customer credit profiles.
  • Monitor and report on accounts receivable and aging reports.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with changes in credit regulations and industry standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
  • Strong knowledge of credit management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Excel.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in credit analysis.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific credit regulations and best practices is a plus.
