Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Vascular Surgeon to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions of the vascular system, including arteries and veins. Responsibilities include performing surgeries to address blockages, aneurysms, and other vascular issues, as well as providing pre- and post-operative care to patients. The Consultant Vascular Surgeon will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure the highest quality of patient care. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to staying current with advancements in vascular surgery are essential for success in this role. Board certification in Vascular Surgery and a valid medical license are required.


Responsibilities

  • Perform complex vascular surgeries including endovascular procedures, open surgeries, and minimally invasive techniques.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the vascular system such as peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins, and aneurysms.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans and coordinate patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular surgery techniques and technologies.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients undergoing vascular procedures.
  • Conduct patient consultations to discuss treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Participate in research, education, and training activities related to vascular surgery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the practice of vascular surgery.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards related to vascular surgery services.
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a residency program in general surgery
  • Subspecialty training in vascular surgery
  • Board certification in vascular surgery
  • Active medical license in the relevant jurisdiction
