Consultant - Cybersecurity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Cybersecurity to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to clients in developing and implementing robust cybersecurity strategies. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending solutions to enhance the overall security posture. The Consultant will collaborate with internal teams to educate and raise awareness about cyber threats and best practices. Additionally, they will stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to proactively address emerging cyber risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful cybersecurity solutions. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks within an organization's systems and networks.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard against potential cyber threats.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to improve security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform security monitoring, incident response, and forensic analysis to detect and mitigate security incidents.
• Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees to enhance cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into new projects and system implementations.
• Stay current on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance security practices.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure systems can quickly recover from security breaches or disasters.
• Participate in security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls and make recommendations for improvement.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity issues, representing the organization in discussions with clients, partners, and vendors.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices.
