Job Description

The Collections Executive - B2B is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from business-to-business (B2B) customers. They will maintain customer accounts, monitor payment trends, and take appropriate actions to ensure timely collection. The Collections Executive will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to resolve payment issues, negotiate payment plans, and maintain positive client relationships. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, payments, and collection activities.
  • Monitor payment trends and proactively identify overdue accounts.
  • Contact clients via phone, email, or mail to request payment and resolve payment disputes.
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms with clients to ensure timely collection.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and account management, to address client concerns and resolve payment issues.
  • Handle inbound inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to assess the creditworthiness of clients and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports on collection performance and outstanding debts.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and best practices in credit collections.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in credit collections or accounts receivable in a B2B environment.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
