Job Description
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture, ensure security and compliance, optimize performance, and provide technical support. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure and services based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to define cloud architecture standards and best practices.
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure security and compliance by implementing appropriate policies and controls.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources to identify and resolve issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams during cloud deployments.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to maintain cloud security and compliance.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud deployment and management processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Provide training and knowledge sharing on cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components, such as virtual machines, containers, storage, and networking.
- Knowledge of cloud security, data privacy, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python or PowerShell.
