Job Description
As a Bridge Engineer, you will be involved in the design, analysis, and construction of bridges and other transportation structures. You will work closely with a team of engineers and architects to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the bridges. Bridge Engineers usually work for government agencies, private engineering firms, or construction companies.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze bridge structures using engineering software.
- Conduct site inspections to assess the condition of existing bridges.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for bridge construction.
- Calculate and analyze the loads and forces acting on bridge components.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government agencies.
- Manage and supervise construction projects.
- Perform structural evaluations and design rehabilitation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field.
- Strong scientific and research skills.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
- Experience in conducting field surveys and collecting environmental samples.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
