Billing Executive - Healthcare

The Billing Executive – Healthcare is responsible for managing medical billing processes including claims submission, reconciliation, and insurance coordination. Working in a clinical or hospital setting in the UAE, this role ensures timely and accurate billing in compliance with healthcare regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of healthcare revenue cycles, and the ability to liaise with insurance providers and patients.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and submitting insurance claims accurately through approved portals.

• Verifying patient insurance details and coverage prior to procedures.

• Coordinating with physicians, nurses, and administrative teams to gather required documentation.

• Following up on denied or unpaid claims and ensuring resolution in a timely manner.

• Ensuring all billing activities comply with UAE healthcare regulations and payer requirements.

• Preparing detailed reports on billing status, collections, and aging summaries.

• Responding to patient and insurance inquiries related to charges and coverage.

• Maintaining up-to-date records of billing transactions and documentation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management within the UAE.

• Familiarity with insurance portals such as DHA, HAAD, and MOH systems.

• Strong understanding of ICD, CPT, and DRG coding standards.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle patient interactions.

• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office tools.

• Detail-oriented with strong numerical and organizational skills.
