Job Description
The AVP - Flight Preparations oversees the planning and coordination of flight operations. They work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient flight schedules and smooth operations. The AVP provides guidance and support to flight planning teams and ensures compliance with safety regulations and company standards. They must have a strong understanding of aviation operations and be able to make real-time decisions in response to changing circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate flight schedules and ensure efficient operations.
- Provide guidance and support to flight planning teams.
- Monitor and analyze flight data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize resource allocation.
- Make real-time decisions in response to changing circumstances.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as air traffic control.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or a related field.
- Extensive experience in flight operations management.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
