Anesthesia Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Anesthesia Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our anesthesia team with the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, as well as providing support during surgical procedures. This is a full-time position with potential for growth and development within our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

- Assist the anesthesia team in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, ensuring that all tools and supplies are ready and functioning properly prior to surgical procedures

- Collect and prepare medications and other necessary supplies for use during procedures

- Set up and monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia equipment during surgeries, making adjustments as necessary

- Communicate effectively with the anesthesia team, surgeons, and other medical staff to ensure a smooth and efficient procedure

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols

- Assist with the transportation and positioning of patients before and after surgical procedures

- Provide support to the anesthesia team during emergencies and code blue situations

- Participate in the training of new anesthesia technicians and other medical staff, as needed

- Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels

- Stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques related to anesthesia and share knowledge with the team

- Perform other duties as assigned by the anesthesia team or supervisor.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program preferred

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an Anesthesia Technician in a healthcare setting

- Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, tools, and supplies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
