Insurance Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to manage medical insurance claims, pre-authorizations, and patient eligibility verifications in our UAE-based healthcare facility. The role ensures smooth coordination between patients, providers, and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments and procedures.

• Obtain pre-approvals and authorizations from insurance companies.

• Submit insurance claims and follow up on pending or rejected claims.

• Ensure compliance with insurance policies and coding guidelines.

• Coordinate with healthcare providers to gather required medical documentation.

• Update and maintain accurate patient insurance records in the system.

• Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits, approvals, and co-pays.

• Handle claim re-submissions and appeals when necessary.

• Collaborate with billing teams for reconciliation and claims tracking.

• Provide monthly reports on claim status, rejections, and collection trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field.

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in insurance coordination within a medical setting.

• Strong understanding of UAE medical insurance regulations and TPA processes.

• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

• Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR).

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
