MEP Engineer

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of building systems to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and energy efficiency. This role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that MEP installations meet industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and oversee the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects.

• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure system efficiency and compliance with regulations.

• Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for MEP integration.

• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of MEP designs.

• Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and sustainability standards.

• Develop cost estimates, budgets, and material specifications for MEP-related components.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system failures, recommending improvements and upgrades.

• Supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines.

• Maintain project documentation, including design modifications, test results, and maintenance records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.

• Proven experience as an MEP Engineer in construction or building services.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems design and installation.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.

• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
