HVAC Technician

An HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues effectively. The HVAC Technician ensures that all systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety standards, delivering optimal indoor air quality and comfort for occupants.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and test HVAC systems and components including compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and ductwork.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and calibrating systems.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.

• Ensure systems are in compliance with local codes and safety regulations.

• Provide timely and accurate service reports and documentation.

• Communicate with clients to explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance tips.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or technical certification in HVAC.

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Understanding of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Valid HVAC license or certification as required by local regulations.

• Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces or high places.
