Electrical Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector to ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves inspecting electrical installations, reviewing blueprints, identifying potential issues, and ensuring that all electrical work meets quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, excellent attention to detail, and experience in inspecting various electrical components in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

• conduct inspections of electrical systems, wiring, panels, and equipment to ensure compliance with codes and regulations

• review electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications to verify compliance with project requirements

• identify and document any violations, deficiencies, or safety hazards in electrical installations

• coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address and resolve non-compliance issues

• perform testing on electrical systems using specialized tools and equipment to ensure functionality and safety

• provide recommendations for corrective actions and improvements in electrical installations

• ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety standards and building codes

• maintain detailed inspection records and prepare reports for project documentation

• participate in site meetings and provide technical expertise on electrical safety and regulations

• stay updated with changes in electrical codes, industry standards, and best practices

Requirements:

• diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field

• minimum 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, construction, or a related role

• in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety codes (NEC, IEC, or equivalent)

• experience with electrical testing tools such as multimeters, circuit testers, and thermal imaging cameras

• strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics

• excellent communication skills to work with contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities

• certification in electrical inspection or quality control is an advantage

• familiarity with health and safety regulations related to electrical work
