Logistics Operations Manager

The Logistics Operations Manager oversees the end-to-end logistics and supply chain processes to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role involves managing warehousing, transportation, inventory, and distribution operations while ensuring full compliance with UAE customs regulations and local laws. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the manager leads cross-functional teams, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the logistics network.

Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day logistics operations including warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment activities.

• Developing and implementing logistics strategies that align with business goals and enhance supply chain performance.

• Monitoring KPIs and operational metrics to ensure service levels, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

• Coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs brokers for import/export processes.

• Ensuring accurate inventory control and overseeing periodic stock audits in line with company policies.

• Leading and mentoring a team of logistics personnel and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

• Identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions to streamline operations.

• Maintaining compliance with UAE customs, port authority regulations, and trade documentation requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of logistics or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the UAE.

• In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, warehousing systems, and freight management.

• Strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, free zone procedures, and trade compliance.

• Experience with logistics software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency.

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
