Job Description

As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the logistics process within an organization. This includes managing the transportation of goods, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring that products are stored and distributed efficiently. Your role will involve working closely with suppliers, shipping companies, and internal teams to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs. You will be expected to develop and implement logistics strategies, identify areas for improvement, and maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A background in supply chain management or a related field is preferred for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the logistics operations of the organization.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate and manage transportation, distribution, and warehousing activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations in transportation and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in the logistics process.
  • Lead and supervise a team of logistics staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of logistics activities with overall business operations.
  • Implement best practices in logistics management to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Previous experience working in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technology, such as ERP systems and transportation management systems.
