Lighting Sales Engineer

The Lighting Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying their lighting needs, and providing technical solutions to meet those requirements. This role involves working closely with architects, designers, contractors, and project managers to recommend and sell lighting solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical understanding of lighting products, market trends, and the ability to provide expert guidance on energy-efficient and sustainable lighting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders in the lighting industry

• assess client requirements and propose suitable lighting solutions based on technical and aesthetic considerations

• prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients

• work closely with the design and engineering teams to customize lighting solutions for specific projects

• provide support in the preparation of quotations, tenders, and proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs

• stay up to date with the latest lighting technologies, energy-efficient solutions, and industry regulations

• coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product availability and competitive pricing

• negotiate contracts and close sales deals while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction

• conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of competitors

• provide post-sales support, including technical assistance, troubleshooting, and customer training

Requirements:

• bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field

• minimum of 3-5 years of experience in lighting sales, preferably in commercial or industrial projects

• strong knowledge of lighting products, LED technology, and control systems

• experience working with architects, consultants, and contractors in the lighting or construction industry

• excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly

• proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, or other lighting design software is an advantage

• ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• valid UAE driving license is preferred

• fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
