Lab Operations Manager Job Description

Job Description: The Lab Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all processes and procedures are carried out efficiently and accurately. They will manage a team of lab technicians and ensure that all equipment and materials are maintained and used properly. The Lab Operations Manager will also be responsible for budgeting, inventory management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory
• Supervise lab technicians and other staff
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and materials
• Develop and implement lab processes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Monitor and maintain lab equipment and supplies, coordinating repairs and replacements as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support lab operations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of lab-related projects and initiatives.
• Develop and implement lab policies and procedures
• Monitor budget and expenses
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 
• Minimum of 3 years experience in lab management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
• Experience with budgeting and inventory management
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for labs
