Home Care Nurse

A Home Care Nurse provides medical and personal care to patients in their homes, ensuring they receive the necessary support for recovery, chronic illness management, or elderly care. This role requires compassion, patience, and medical expertise to monitor patient health, administer treatments, and educate families on proper care techniques. The nurse must be able to work independently, make critical decisions, and collaborate with doctors and healthcare teams to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• provide direct nursing care to patients in their homes, including administering medication and treatments

• monitor patient conditions and report any significant changes to physicians or healthcare providers

• assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support

• educate patients and their families on managing illnesses, medications, and overall healthcare routines

• manage wound care, IV therapy, and other medical treatments as prescribed by doctors

• ensure proper documentation of patient progress, treatments, and any incidents

• collaborate with physicians, therapists, and caregivers to develop and implement care plans

• provide emotional support to patients and families, helping them cope with medical conditions

• follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment

• stay updated on the latest nursing practices and home healthcare regulations

Requirements:

• valid nursing license (DHA) or eligibility to obtain one

• bachelor's degree or diploma in nursing from a recognized institution

• previous experience in home healthcare, geriatrics, or chronic illness management is preferred

• strong clinical skills, including medication administration, wound care, and emergency response

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and families

• ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions in emergency situations

• physical ability to assist patients with mobility and daily activities

• compassion, patience, and dedication to providing high-quality care

• valid UAE driving license is a plus
