Director of Commercial Valuation

The Director of Commercial Valuation leads and manages a team of valuation professionals to provide accurate and reliable commercial property valuations. They work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure high-quality valuation reports and analyses. The role involves conducting market research, performing property inspections, and applying valuation methodologies. The Director of Commercial Valuation also oversees the development of appraisal policies, procedures, and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of valuation professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee commercial property valuation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Conduct market research, analyze trends, and gather relevant data for property valuation purposes.
• Perform property inspections to assess condition, marketability, and other factors affecting value.
• Apply valuation methodologies, such as income approach, sales comparison approach, and cost approach.
• Review and validate valuation reports and analyses prepared by the team members.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand specific valuation requirements and deliver customized solutions.
• Develop and implement appraisal policies, procedures, and quality control measures.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to commercial valuation.
• Provide guidance and support to the team members on complex valuation issues and appraisals.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
• Professional certification or designation in valuation, such as MAI or MRICS.
• Significant experience in commercial property valuation, including experience at a managerial level.
• Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
