Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative - Healthcare to provide exceptional patient support by handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare customer service and a strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and patient confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding appointments, billing, and medical services.
  • Schedule, modify, and confirm patient appointments while ensuring accuracy in medical records.
  • Provide insurance verification and claim assistance, guiding patients through billing processes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
  • Address patient concerns and complaints with empathy and escalate complex cases when needed.
  • Assist in processing referrals, medical authorizations, and prescription requests.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the healthcare system.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Educate patients on medical procedures, healthcare plans, and wellness programs.
  • Meet service quality and patient satisfaction standards set by the organization.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare customer service, hospital administration, or a medical call center.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and patient care procedures.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software (EHR, CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a patient-centric approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
  • Multilingual skills (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, Tagalog) are a plus.
