The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects on-site. They ensure the smooth execution of construction activities, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of projects. The Civil Site Engineer also collaborates with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise construction projects on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, design specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to plan and schedule construction activities.
Monitor daily on-site construction activities and provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
Review and evaluate construction plans, drawings, and specifications to identify any discrepancies or potential issues.
Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the availability of construction materials and equipment.
Manage and oversee subcontractors and laborers to ensure their performance and compliance with project requirements.
Monitor and control project costs, prepare progress reports, and provide updates to project stakeholders.
Resolve any construction-related problems or disputes that may arise during the project.
Ensure the timely completion of construction projects within budget and quality parameters.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in construction site management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Valid construction site supervisor license (if required).
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
