Medical Assistant - Homecare

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our homecare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential healthcare support to patients in their homes, assisting with medical procedures, personal care, and ensuring overall patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including mobility support, hygiene, and medication reminders.
• Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Provide basic wound care and dressing changes under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
• Support homecare nurses and physicians in administering treatments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and report any health concerns to the medical team.
• Educate patients and families on homecare best practices and medication management.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed at all times.
• Assist with transportation arrangements for medical appointments, if necessary.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant  or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in home healthcare, nursing assistance, or patient care is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic medical procedures and patient care techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care.
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and follow proper protocols.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift or assist patients when necessary.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and basic medical documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to patients' homes if required.
