General Practitioner

A General Practitioner (GP) is a primary care physician responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups. They provide comprehensive healthcare services, including preventive care, routine check-ups, and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. GPs serve as the first point of contact for patients and often refer them to specialists when needed. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, excellent patient communication, and a compassionate approach to healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans for patients.

• Provide preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education.

• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.

• Prescribe medications and provide guidance on treatment regimens.

• Interpret medical tests, such as blood tests, X-rays, and ECGs, to aid in diagnosis.

• Refer patients to specialists or hospitals for further diagnosis and treatment when necessary.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.

• Offer lifestyle and dietary advice to promote overall well-being.

• Address mental health concerns and provide initial counseling or referrals as needed.

• Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices to provide high-quality care.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

• Valid HAAD license to practice as a General Practitioner.

• Proven experience working as a GP or in a similar medical role.

• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to make informed medical decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build patient trust.

• Ability to handle multiple patients and prioritize urgent cases effectively.

• Knowledge of medical ethics, laws, and healthcare regulations.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to healthcare.
