Job Description
A Driver is responsible for operating vehicles to transport people or goods. They follow traffic and safety rules, maintain vehicles, and ensure timely and safe transportation. Drivers may work for organizations, transportation companies, or individuals.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate designated vehicles and transport passengers and/or goods.
- Follow traffic rules and regulations to ensure safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and regular maintenance of the vehicle.
- Plan optimal routes to reach the destination in a timely manner.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and address their needs during the journey.
- Adhere to schedules and deadlines for timely transportation.
- Stay updated with road conditions and traffic alerts to plan alternative routes if required.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to driving.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, mileage, and other relevant information.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate different routes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness to perform driving duties.
